Empowerment Through Knowledge: Growing Up, Glowing Up  A Community Outreach Initiative

On August 9, 2025, BFF Personal Care was honored to be invited by HER (Hear. Empower. Rise.) Monash Clinical School Johor Bahru to participate in the community outreach program “Empowerment Through Knowledge: Growing Up, Glowing Up”, organized by a group of medical students from Monash University Malaysia, Johor Bahru Clinical School.

The event began with a light-hearted ice-breaking session, creating a safe and open environment where the children could relax and engage. This was followed by an informative reproductive health talk delivered by the HER team, focusing on the physical changes during puberty. To make the learning experience fun and interactive, two engaging activities were introduced:

• Puberty Puzzle – A puzzle game designed to help children understand the different stages of physical development.

• My Body, My Boundaries – A drawing activity encouraging self-expression and promoting awareness of personal boundaries and body safety.

Following HER’s professional presentation, BFF took the stage as the event’s sanitary pad sponsor. Our team provided 100% organic teen sanitary pads and conducted a Menstrual Hygiene Management sharing session, helping the girls better understand and manage puberty changes, while breaking down the stigma and misconceptions surrounding menstruation. This ensured that menstrual health knowledge became both practical and approachable.

This event was not just about imparting knowledge—it was about instilling confidence and care. We witnessed the children transform from shy and reserved to confident and outspoken. That spark of growth is exactly why BFF remains committed to promoting menstrual health education.

At BFF Personal Care, we believe that health education should begin early, and menstruation should never be a burden—it is a natural part of growing up. Moving forward, we will continue to collaborate with partners from all sectors, including medical students, to bring accurate menstrual hygiene knowledge to more girls, empowering them to shine with confidence in an environment of care and support.
